Roedjak tofu with Sambal Goreng beans

The spice paste adds a wonderfully spicy taste to the tofu. A dish where the traditional Indonesian flavors beautifully cooperate!

Shopping list

  • Samasaya Roedjak spice paste : 1
  • Pandan rice : 250 g
  • Oil : 3 tbsp
  • Tofu : 400 g
  • Samasaya Sambal Goreng spice paste : 1
  • Green beans : 400 g
  • Coconut milk (can) : 150 ml
  • Unsalted peanuts : to garnish
  • Samasaya krupuk of choice : 1 bag

Have a drink and relax, we are going to cook a delicious Indonesian cuisine. 

Step 1: Cook the rice according to the preparation method on the package. Cut the tofu into cubes. Remove the cap from the beans and cook them until tender. Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Fry the Roedjak spice paste in 2 tbsp oil. Add the cubes of tofu and brown all over. Optionally add some water for the desired thickness.

Step 3: In another pan, fry the Sambal Goreng spice paste in 1 tbsp oil for 1 minute. Add the coconut milk and bring to the boil. When te mixture reached the point of boiling, add the boiled beans and stir well until everything is heated.

Step 4: Serve the tofu Roedjak with white rice and the Sambal Goreng beans. Garnish with some unsalted peanuts.
