Roedjak with Gado Gado

You can combine this spice paste in different ways, with more or less vegetables, you decide this. The curry has a mild spiciness that, in combination with the meat and vegetables makes an delicious meal for the whole family to enjoy.

Shopping list:

 

  • Pandan rice : 250g
  • Oil : 2el
  • Pork strips or cubes : 400g
  • Samasaya Gado Gado : 1
  • Indonesian wok vegetables : 400g
  • Cucumber : 1/2

Preparation:

 

Take a drink and relax, we cook a delicious Indonesian cuisine.

 

Step 1: Cook the rice according to the preparation method on the package.

Step 2: Fry the herb paste in 2 tbsp of oil.

Step 3: Add the meat and cook over low heat until it is done. If necessary, add some water for the desired thickness.

Step 4: Boil  water. Add the wok vegetables, cook for 5 minutes (blanch) and drain.

Step 5: Heat the Gado Gado sauce according to the method of preparation on the pot.

Step 6: Halve the cucumber, remove the seeds and cut into thin slices. Mix the cucumber with the vegetables.

 

Serve the Roedjak with white rice and Gado Gado vegetables. Selamat Makan!

 

Vegetarian? Replace the meat for cubes of tofu and follow the preparation method above.
