Sambal Goreng beans

Sambal goreng beans is the perfect side dish for every Indonesian dinner. Serve it with curry of part of a rice table.

Shopping list

  • Sambal goreng spice paste : 1 sachet
  • Green beans: 500 g
  • Oil : 2 tbsp
  • Water : 150 ml

Grab a drink and relax, we are going to cook a delicious Indonesian cuisine!

Step 1. Shell the green beans and cut in half. Heat the oil in a wok and fry the green beans for 2 minutes (boil fresh green beans for 3 minutes first).

 

Step 2. Add the water and the Sambal Goreng Bean spice paste and let it simmer for 3 minutes without a lid.

 

Tip: Replace the green beans with broccoli, sugar snap peas or snow peas.

Serve as a side dish, delicious with (jackfruit) rendang or nasi goreng.
