Lonny Gerungan is the ambassador of the authentic Indonesian kitchen in the Netherlands as well as internationally. His whole live is dominated by sharing the love and passion of Indonesia and her versatile kitchen.

Lonny Gerungan was born in Denpasar, Bali. His father was the chef at the Bali Hotel – an establishment famous for accommodating celebrities and royalty.

His mother also ran her own restaurant on the island, and from an early age Lonny was taught to cook by both his parents.

Lonny has spent the last 30 years living in the Netherlands, where he is a respected TV chef. An expert in exotic and oriental cuisine, he ran his own successfull Balinese restaurant for 15 years. He is now a significant consultant in the food industry, presenting cooking demonstrations and workshops. He has made eight television programmes about Indonesia and published twelve cookery books.
