An Indonesian twist to the traditional ‘patatje stoof’ (aka fries with stew), the classic Dutch dish which you can order at any snackbar!

Step 1: Fry the spice paste for Rendang in 2 tbsp oil. Add 400ml coconut milk and let it reduce for 5 minutes so that the flavors mix well.
Step 2: Add the meat and simmer on low heat for about 1 hour. Toss it regularly.
Step 3: Preheat the oven or airfryer according to the preparation method of the fries and prepare as indicated. Cut the spring onion into rings.
Step 4: Serve the fries with the rendang stew and sambal sauce to taste. Garnish with the spring onion.
