Terong belado

Together with Lonny Gerungan we present the simple, but oh-so addictive recipe for Terong belado. Perfect as a side dish or as part of a rice table!

Shopping list

  • Samasaya Sajoer beans sachet : 1
  • Eggplant : 2
  • Tomato : 2
  • Lemon juice : 1 tbsp
  • Palm sugar : 1 tbsp

Grab a drink and relax, we are going to cook a delicious Indonesian cuisine!

Step 1: Cut the eggplant into rough blocks of about 2-3 centimeters. Mix the eggplant with the spice paste and heat in the pan until the aubergine turns golden brown and softens.

Step 2: When you see the eggplant start to discolor, add the sliced tomato, palm sugar and lemon juice. Let it simmer for a few more minutes and serve!
